I understand that reaching out for help can be daunting, and finding the right counsellor is a crucial step in your healing journey. That’s why I focus on creating a warm environment where you feel comfortable, valued, and empowered to explore whatever you wish, at your own pace.

I am a qualified counsellor, holding a Level 4 HECert in Counselling and being a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), as well as being a qualified Mental Health First Aider. I have worked with clients from within the NHS and privately via Choose Therapy, as well as voluntary work with ChildLine and Shout, and have more than 20 years of experience in the corporate sector, so have worked with a broad spectrum of people presenting unique experiences.​​ 

I have more than 20 years of experience within the corporate sector, where I was fortunate to champion mental health and wellbeing, and launch award-winning campaigns that raised awareness for the challenges that people face. For my work, I have been fortunate to receive some high-profile recognition, including Barbara Cox Woman of the Year 2022 from Cox Automotive’s Women with Drive initiative, as well as being inducted into the What Van? Hall of Fame 2025. 

 

Championing mental health and wellbeing in the corporate sector led me to train as a ChildLine counsellor, and then as a Shout volunteer, where I supported more than 500 people during times of crisis.

My own positive experience of personal therapy then led me to explore training to become a counsellor myself, which felt like a natural next step in my life. I am qualified in person-centred counselling, which means you are at the heart of our time together. It is a non-directive, client-led approach, meaning sessions are guided by what feels most important to you in a safe, non-judgemental space where you can feel truly heard and supported. 

 

As a person-centred practitioner, I place you at the heart of every session. I believe in the power of empathetic listening and strive to build a collaborative relationship where you lead the way. This non-directive approach allows us to focus on the issues that matter most to you, whether that’s anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, loneliness, or low self-esteem.
