In today’s busy world, it can be hard to think about what we need to do in the next hour, let alone plan for the next week, month, or year ahead.
It can also feel challenging to juggle a job, responsibilities, home life, and try to fit in time to look after yourself. But when it all feels too much, and you recognise that talking to a counsellor might be beneficial, how can you add that into an already full schedule?
I believe the answer is making use of ‘out of hours’, flexible counselling, which is why I offer face-to-face, online, and telephone appointments across mornings, evenings, and weekend appointments, with no pressure to book in the same slot each week or the same counselling session mode.
That way, I feel therapy is able to fit around your life, not the other way around. If face-to-face on a Tuesday evening works one week, but then Friday morning online works the next, then as long as the sessions are free, you can book for what suits you best.
My diary is open and bookable on a first come, first served basis, with the same flat, transparent session fee for everyone, irrespective of session mode or time of day.
Each session mode offers different things for different people. Not everyone is comfortable with the online environment – there may be other people present within earshot, so it won’t be private, and for some, being face-to-face with a therapist might feel overwhelming, or require too much travel time. Telephone can provide a completely different experience, especially if you are less comfortable with showing your appearance.
There is no right or wrong. It’s all about finding a counsellor and environment that suits your needs the best.
So whether you’re looking for an in-person, online, or telephone-based therapist, and morning, evening, or weekend sessions, my aim is to tailor counselling for you and your requirements.
For face-to-face, I am based in Conwy, North Wales.
